VetClassics Joint Support Plus Soft Chews
Vet Classics Joint Support Plus Soft Chews for Dogs
For dogs over two years of age.
Product Description
Joint Support Plus is a daily soft chew combining glucosamine, MSM, sea cucumber, and green-lipped mussel to support normal cartilage flexibility and healthy synovial fluid — the fluid that cushions and lubricates a joint. It's aimed at maintaining hip and joint function in dogs after ordinary daily exercise and activity.
Green-lipped mussel is worth noting: it's a marine source of omega-3 fatty acids and glycosaminoglycans, and it's the ingredient that distinguishes this from a straight glucosamine chew. The soft chew format makes daily dosing easy, which matters for a supplement whose effect depends on consistency.
Key Ingredients
Glucosamine
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane)
Sea Cucumber
Green-Lipped Mussel
How to Use
Give daily by body weight, following the label or your veterinarian's direction. Recommended for dogs over two years of age.
Joint supplements take time. Most take six to eight weeks of consistent daily use before there's anything to judge, so give it a real run before deciding whether it's helping.
Keep your dog lean and keep exercise regular but moderate. Weight is the single biggest thing an owner controls when it comes to joint comfort, and no supplement outperforms it.
Additional Information
For dogs. This is a nutritional supplement, not an FDA-approved drug, and not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment.
Tell your veterinarian about all supplements your dog receives, particularly if your dog is on an NSAID or other joint medication. Green-lipped mussel is a shellfish-derived ingredient, so avoid it in a dog with a known shellfish sensitivity.
Keep out of reach of children and pets. The chews are palatable, so store the container where a dog can't get into it.

Limping, stiffness that doesn't improve after a few minutes of movement, reluctance to jump or use stairs, or a dog who has stopped doing something he used to enjoy deserves an exam. Osteoarthritis is manageable but progressive, and there are effective prescription options — NSAIDs and injectable polysulfated glycosaminoglycans among them — that work on a different level than a supplement. Sudden lameness, especially after activity, can mean a torn cruciate ligament and needs to be looked at rather than supplemented.
