Prescription Policy

Prescription Pet Food and Medication

PetRX.com reserves the right to refuse sales to any customer that fails to provide a valid and current prescription.

Customers are required to provide a valid prescription and or up to date veterinary information with the purchase of any Prescription Diet Pet Food or Medications.

All prescriptions are confirmed with the prescribing Veterinarian using a fax authorization form and or verbal approval by the prescribing veterinarian and or clinic. 

PetRX.com verifies the prescribing veterinarian’s license is current and in good standing.

Authorized Prescriptions will remain valid until the specified expiration date and or 365 days after approval is received, whichever comes first. 

PetRX.com will not send any Prescription Diet Pet Food or Medications without valid supporting documentation (i.e., prescription, signed veterinarian authorization form, verbal approval by prescribing veterinarian).

Once authorization is received and the prescribing veterinarian’s license is verified to be current and in good standing, the Prescription Diet Pet Food or Medication is shipped (via USPS, FedEx, or UPS) to the customers specified address.
