Product Description

Ursolyx from Virbac is a muscle health supplement for dogs, addressing the half of mobility that most products leave out. Joint support is well established in pet health. Muscle support is not, even though muscle loss is a large part of why an older dog slows down, and weaker muscle leaves joints less stable, so the two problems feed each other.

The active ingredient is ursolic acid, a natural compound from sage extract, with a proprietary coating that improves its bioavailability in dogs by roughly four times. It works at the molecular level on the gene expression associated with muscle atrophy rather than simply supplying protein.

In a 60-day study, dogs showed significant improvement in skeletal muscle mRNA biomarkers along with better exercise participation and agility. A safety study at five times the predicted effective dose showed no product-related findings in body weight, food consumption, behavior, gastrointestinal signs, bloodwork, or urine chemistry.

It's a bacon-flavored soft chew given once daily, sized by dog weight.

How to Use
