Rx Biotic is a four strain probiotic powder with added prebiotics, built to repopulate and hold the normal bacterial population of the gut.

The formula pairs the DDS ProbioPlus blend, which delivers 2 billion viable cells per scoop, with two prebiotic fibers. Probiotics supply the organisms; prebiotics are the fiber those organisms actually feed on. Including both is what separates a probiotic that seeds the gut from one that gives the new population something to live on once it arrives.

The dosing is what makes it practical. The label gives three distinct rates, a maintenance dose, a higher restorative dose, and a dose for use alongside antibiotics, so the same bottle covers a dog on long term digestive support and a cat finishing a course of antibiotics.

It is a vegetarian, unflavored powder that mixes into food.

• Lactobacillus acidophilus
• Bifidobacterium longum
• Bifidobacterium bifidum
• Bifidobacterium lactis
• Fructooligosaccharides
• Larch arabinogalactan

Other ingredients: colloid ultrasmooth powder, sodium ascorbate, rice bran, silicon dioxide.

How to Use

Mix into food. The label gives three rates:

• Maintenance, 1 to 2 scoops daily
• Restorative, 2 to 4 scoops daily
• Alongside antibiotics, 2 to 4 scoops daily

If you are using it with antibiotics, give it a few hours apart from the antibiotic dose rather than at the same time, so the antibiotic is not acting on the organisms you just added.

Refrigerate after opening. These are live cultures and the viable cell count is what you are paying for.
