Rope Leash with O Ring, Assorted Colors, 52"
Rope Slip Leash with O-Ring, 52 Inch
For dogs.
Please note: colors are assorted and will vary. Specific colors cannot be selected or guaranteed.
Product Description
A simple, durable rope slip leash built from strong hollow-braided polypropylene, with inverted ends sewn together for extra strength and a tensile strength of 200 lbs.
The O-ring design makes it a slip lead: the loop tightens as the dog pulls and releases as they stop, so it goes on in one motion with no collar needed. That's why this style is standard in veterinary clinics, grooming shops, shelters, and rescues, where animals arrive without gear and need to be moved safely and quickly.
At 52 inches, it's long enough to be comfortable for most dogs while staying short enough to keep one close in a busy hallway or waiting room.
Sold in packs of 12, which is how facilities actually buy them, since leads get taken home by owners, worn out, or lost.

How to Use
Slide the loop over the dog's head, positioning it high on the neck just behind the ears, and let the O-ring sit under the jaw. Keep the lead loose unless the dog pulls.
Check the fit and the condition of the rope regularly and retire any lead that is frayed, cut, or has a damaged stitch.
Safety
A slip lead has no stop, so it tightens without limit under sustained pull. It's meant for controlled handling over short distances rather than as an everyday walking leash or for a dog that pulls hard for long stretches. A flat collar or harness is the better choice for regular walks.
Never leave a dog unattended in a slip lead, and never tie one out or attach it to a fixed point.
