Clindamycin is an antibiotic for dogs and cats used to treat soft tissue, dental, and bone infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria. As a lincosamide antibiotic, Clindamycin works to remove anaerobic bacterial infections by binding to the bacteria's RNA and disrupting the synthesis of proteins the bacteria needs to survive and grow. As with any antibiotic, please follow your veterinarian's instructions carefully.

How to use Clindamycin HCl Capsules for Dogs?
Recommended Dosage and Administration: Always use as directed by veterinarian. Medication should never be administered without first consulting your veterinarian. The usual dose for dogs is 2.5mg-15mg per pound every 12 hours for a maximum of 28 days. The usual dose for cats is 5mg-15mg per pound once every 24 hours.

Clindamycin is safe and effective to use with other medications when they are prescribed by a veterinarian. Please tell your veterinarian everything your pet is currently taking before administering clindamycin. This includes supplements, vitamins and minerals, or medications.
