Nosorb is a non-absorbent litter made for one job: collecting a urine sample from a cat at home.
Urinalysis is one of the most useful diagnostic tests in feline medicine, and it’s skipped more often than it should be simply because getting a sample is difficult. Nosorb solves that. The granules are inert and don’t absorb, so urine pools on the surface of the pan where it can be drawn up with the syringe or pipette your veterinarian provides.
Clean the litter pan, add Nosorb, and the cat uses the box as normal. Acceptability runs around 98%, which is the part that matters, since a cat that refuses the litter produces no sample at all.
It’s used for urinary tract disease workups, monitoring hydration and kidney function, managing diabetes, and as part of routine senior bloodwork and wellness panels. Practices that dispense it for home collection generally report doing considerably more urinalyses, because the sample stops being the obstacle.

How to Use
Empty and clean the litter pan thoroughly, then dry it. Residue from regular litter will contaminate the sample.
Pour in Nosorb to cover the bottom of the pan and put it back where the box normally sits.
Once your cat urinates, collect the sample with the syringe or container your veterinarian provided, and get it to the clinic as soon as possible. Urine changes composition as it sits, so a fresh sample gives the most reliable result. If there will be a delay, ask your veterinarian whether to refrigerate it.
In a multi-cat household, separate the cats so you know whose sample you have.
If your cat is reluctant, confine them to one room with the Nosorb box and no alternative, and give it time. Most cats use it within a few hours.
