M.A.S.S. Builder is a liquid supplement formulated to support healthy weight and condition in horses. It combines gamma oryzanol, a compound from rice bran oil, with the amino acids L-lysine and threonine, plus fenugreek.
The amino acids are the part worth understanding. Lysine and threonine are limiting amino acids in equine diets, meaning a horse can only build muscle protein up to the point where the scarcest one runs out, regardless of how much total protein is in the feed. Supplementing them lets the rest of the diet be used properly, which is why they show up in topline and condition products.
It's non-steroidal and all natural, and it's most often used for horses who struggle to hold weight, horses being brought back into work, hard keepers, and horses in heavy training or competition.
