Kera-Mend Hoof Crack and White Line Paste for Horses

Product Description

Kera-Mend Hoof Crack and White Line Paste is a thick paste formulated to fill and seal hoof cracks and to pack into white line separation. The paste consistency is what makes it work in a hoof: it stays put in a defect where a liquid runs straight out, and it forms a barrier that keeps dirt, manure, and moisture from packing into the space.

It's also used as maintenance after an abscess has been opened and drained, and packed under pads and glue-on shoes, where the sealed environment is exactly where trouble develops if the wall isn't protected first.

How to Use

Clean and dry the hoof thoroughly first. Pick out the crack or separated area and remove packed dirt and debris, since anything sealed underneath stays sealed in.

Pack the paste firmly into the crack or defect so it fills the space rather than sitting on top.

Reapply as directed, and after the hoof has been washed or worked in wet footing.

Work with your farrier. Packing a defect is one part of managing it, and how the hoof is trimmed and shod determines whether a crack grows out or keeps reopening.

Cautions

For external use on horses only. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Store at room temperature.

Discontinue and consult your veterinarian if irritation develops.
