EquiShield FG Fly Guard Spray is a plant-based insect repellent for horses, formulated with citronella oil, cedarwood oil, and peppermint oil. It repels most of the insects responsible for insect bite hypersensitivity in horses, including gnats, biting flies, mosquitoes, and ticks.

The spray is the everyday format, sized for full-body coverage before turnout, a ride, or a show. It's an eco-safe formula with no artificial colors or additives, which appeals to owners who want to avoid synthetic pyrethroids on a horse they handle daily.

Ingredients

Active: Citronella oil, cedarwood oil, peppermint oil

Other: Purified water, coconut oil, polysorbate 20, glycerin, polyquaternium 10, DMDM hydantoin

How to Use

Brush the coat thoroughly first to remove excess dust and dirt. A repellent applied over a dusty coat sits on the dirt rather than the hair.

Apply directly onto the coat before riding, showing, or turning out.

Do not spray the face. Apply to a soft cloth and wipe on around the face and other sensitive areas instead.

Reapply as needed. Natural repellents generally need more frequent application than synthetic products, particularly in heat, after work, or after a wash.
