Penicillamine (pen-i-sill-a-meen) is used to remove excess copper in cases of copper storage-associated liver diseases.This medicine is also used for
long-term treatment of lead or mercury poisoning or for cystine kidney or bladder stones

This drug should not be used in patients that are allergic to it, or with a history or penicillamine-related blood disorders.
This drug should be used with caution in patients that still have lead present in the gut (stomach/intestines), with a history or evidence of kidney disease, that are pregnant or lactating/nursing.
Food and Drug Interactions
Other drugs can interact with this medication, so be sure to tell your veterinarian and pharmacist what medications (including vitamins, supplements, or herbal therapies) you give your animal

Possible Side Effects
Side effects can include nausea and lower energy levels.
Contact your veterinarian if you believe your pet is experiencing side effects.
Store in a closed container between temperatures of 68° - 77°F
