ComforTrate™ (maropitant citrate) Tablets — Antiemetic for Dogs
ComforTrate is a prescription antiemetic for dogs, indicated for the prevention of acute vomiting and the prevention of vomiting due to motion sickness. Its active ingredient, maropitant citrate, is a neurokinin-1 (NK1) receptor antagonist — it blocks substance P at the receptor level in the central nervous system, interrupting the signal that triggers the vomiting reflex from both central and peripheral causes. ComforTrate is FDA-approved and therapeutically equivalent to the brand-name maropitant tablet, so you get the same active ingredient at a lower cost.
Tablets are scored and available in 16 mg, 24 mg, 60 mg, and 160 mg strengths, allowing accurate weight-based dosing across small and large breeds.

- Once-daily oral administration
- FDA-approved generic of the brand-name maropitant tablet
Important safety information: For oral use in dogs only. Prescription (Rx) medication — a valid prescription from your veterinarian is required. Use with caution in puppies under 11 weeks of age. May cause dose-related decreases in appetite and body weight. Because vomiting can signal a serious underlying problem, the cause should be identified and addressed by your veterinarian. See the package insert for complete product details.
