BLUE Life Protection Formula Adult Small Breed Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe — Dog Food

For healthy adult small breed dogs.

Product Description

Small dogs burn energy at a faster rate than big ones, and this recipe is built around that. It's Blue Buffalo's everyday adult formula with increased protein and carbohydrates to meet the higher energy demands of a smaller frame, in a small-bite kibble that's easier for little mouths to handle. Protein-rich deboned chicken leads the ingredient list, with wholesome whole grains including brown rice, garden vegetables, and antioxidant-rich fruit.

Every bag includes Blue Buffalo's LifeSource Bits: a cold-formed blend of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals selected by animal nutritionists and veterinarians. Cold-forming preserves nutrient potency that high-heat processing can degrade.

Made without chicken or poultry by-product meals, without corn, wheat, or soy, and with no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.

Benefits

Built for Small Breeds: Increased protein and carbohydrates support the higher energy needs that come with a faster metabolism.

Small-Bite Kibble: Sized for smaller mouths, making meals easier to chew.

Real Meat First: Deboned chicken is the first ingredient, supplying quality protein for lean muscle maintenance.

Wholesome Whole Grains: Brown rice and other whole grains deliver complex carbohydrates and fiber for steady energy and healthy digestion.

LifeSource Bits: A cold-formed antioxidant, vitamin, and mineral blend supporting immune system health.

No Fillers: No corn, wheat, or soy, no poultry by-product meals, and nothing artificial.

Feeding Guidelines

Feed according to the chart on the bag, adjusting for your dog's weight, age, and activity level. Small breeds often do better on two or three smaller meals a day than one large one. Keep fresh water available.

Portion size matters more here than it does with a big dog — a few extra treats is a much larger share of a 12 lb dog's daily calories than a 70 lb dog's, and it adds up quickly.

When switching from another food, transition over about 7 days — start at roughly 25% new food and increase every couple of days. Sudden switches are the usual cause of digestive upset.

For adult small breed dogs. Store in a cool, dry place and keep the bag sealed for freshness.
