Description

Amoxicillin (a-mox-i-sill-in) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is useful to treat infections of the skin, respiratory tract, and urinary tract. Amoxicillin should only be used to treat bacterial infections and not viral or parasitic infections.

Warnings

Amoxicillin should not be used in patients that are allergic to it or drugs like it (eg, penicillin).
