Amlodipine (am-loe-di-peen) works on the heart and blood vessels to help lower blood pressure in animals.
- Help control high blood pressure in dogs and cats
- Prevents damage to the kidneys, eyes, and brain that high blood pressure can cause in pets
Consult with your veterinarian for proper dosage and course of treatment.
Amlodipine Besylate should not be used in pets that have had an allergic reaction to it.
Amlodipine should be used with caution in patients with liver problems as the drug is metabolized in the liver. Who have heart failure or if they are at risk for low blood pressure.
Food and Drug Interactions
Other drugs can interact with this medication, so be sure to tell your veterinarian and pharmacist what medications (including vitamins, supplements, or herbal therapies) you give your animal
Keep away from children and other animals. Not for Human consumption
Possible Side Effects
It is not common, but at the beginning of treatment some cats have a reduced appetite or act tired. Rarely in dogs, an overgrowth of gum tissue.
Contact your veterinarian if you believe your pet is experiencing side effects.
Store in temperatures from 68° - 77°F.
