DiaGel Diarrhea Control Gel for Horses/Foals (30 ml)
DiaGel is an oral one-time use syringe, used to maintain a healthy intestinal tract and may be given when diarrhea occurs. Recommended to help support proper digestion and bowel health. 30 ml single syringe.
Causes of diarrhea may include:
• Stress
• Environmental Changes
• Dietary changes (grain overload)
• Indiscretions in diet
Instructions: Set the calibration ring on the syringe plunger according to the weight usage requirement. Place the syringe between the side teeth of the horse, aiming as far down on the back of the tongue as possible. Gently push the plunger to release the gel.
Usage: Referencing the appropriate use, give DiaGel according to the horse’s weight:
10 ml - | Newborn to 120 lbs. |
15 ml - | 121 to 250 lbs. |
20 ml - | 251 to 500 lbs. |
30 ml - | 501+ lbs. |
Primary Use: Give the recommended amount by weight at time of digestive disruption. If additional usage is necessary, use the recommended amount by weight every 6 hours for up to 3 days.
Pre-Stress Use: Give the recommended amount by weight 2 hours prior to stress induced event. Repeat as necessary by weight every 12 hours for up to 5 days.
