Terbutaline Sulfate Tablets

Description

Terbutaline (ter-byoo-ta-leen) can be used in animals for relief of problems related to asthma and other respiratory conditions. This drug can also be used to treat premature labor and slow heart rate.

Precautions

This medication should be used with caution in patients with irregular heartbeats or heart disease as it can cause the heart to beat too fast. With diabetes, excessive thyroid hormone (hyperthyroidism), high blood pressure, or seizures (eg, epilepsy).

Possible Side Effects

Common side effects include slightly faster heart rate and trembling or excitement, nervousness and dizziness.
