Description
Itraconazole (it-ruh-kon-uh-zohl) is used to treat fungal infections in animals.
The most common use for this drug include fungus pertaining to the skin, hair and nails.

Warnings
This drug should not be used in patients that are allergic to it or other azole antifungals like fluconazole or ketoconazole
Precautions
This drug should be used with caution in nursing or pregnant animals. Itraconazole can reach high concentrations in milk and may not be safe for nursing offspring. Animals that have liver disease. African grey parrots as they appear to be sensitive to itraconazole
Food and Drug Interactions
Other drugs can interact with this medication, so be sure to tell your veterinarian and pharmacist what medications (including vitamins, supplements, or herbal therapies) you give your animal

Not for human consumption. Keep out of reach of children and other animals
Side Effects
Possible Side Effects
Vomiting and loss of appetite are the most common side effects seen in dogs and cats.
Contact your veterinarian if you believe your pet is experiencing side effects.
