Description

Cimetidine (sye-met-i-deen) is a medication used to prevent and/or treat stomach ulcers in animals. Cimetidine is also used in the treatment of gastritis, esophagitis and gastric or esophageal reflux.

Warnings

Cimetidine should not be used in pets that have had an allergic (hypersensitive) or severe reaction to it or similar drugs in the past

Precautions

This medication should be used with caution in older animals, animals with reduced liver or kidney function.

Many drugs can interact with this medication, so be sure to tell your veterinarian and pharmacist what medications (including vitamins, supplements, or herbal therapies) you give your animal
