Pala-Zymes Plus Probiotics is a digestive enzyme and probiotic granule for dogs and cats, combining fourteen plant-derived enzymes with live, naturally occurring probiotic microorganisms, delivering billions of beneficial organisms per daily dose.

The two halves do different jobs. The enzymes break food down into smaller components so nutrients and fatty acids can be absorbed rather than passed through, which is the argument for giving them to a pet who eats well but doesn't seem to get much from it. The probiotics support the gut flora doing the work downstream.

How to Use

Mix the labeled amount into your pet's food daily, following the label or your veterinarian's direction. Give it with food, since enzymes work on the meal they're mixed into.

If your pet is on an antibiotic, ask your veterinarian about spacing the doses, since probiotics are commonly given a couple of hours apart from antibiotic doses.

Give it consistently. Digestive support works through daily use rather than occasional dosing.

That condition is treatable but requires a specific prescription-strength pancreatic enzyme product, not an over-the-counter digestive supplement, so it's worth ruling in or out rather than working through bottles of this.
