Description

Tresaderm (tres-a-derm) is an antifungal, antibiotic topical corticosteroid solution with anti-inflammatory properties used to treat infectious conditions of the ears, skin, and anal glands.

Avoid contact with eyes

Pets who should not use this medication are pets who are allergic to any of the ingredients, e tuberculosis infections of the skin or who have a confirmed or suspected ruptured eardrum

Precautions

On rare occasions dogs may be sensitive to neomycin. In these animals, application of the drug will result in erythema of the treated area, which may last 24 to 48 hours. Also, evidence of transient discomfort has been noted in some dogs when the drug was applied to fissured or denuded areas. Application of Tresaderm should be limited to period not longer than one week.

Food and Drug Interactions

Other medications can interact with Tresaderm, so be sure to tell your veterinarian what medications and supplements you give your animal

Possible Side Effects

While systemic side effects are not likely with topically applied corticosteroids, such a possibility should be considered if use of the solution is extensive and prolonged. If signs of increased thirst, weakness, lethargy, frequent urination, gastrointestinal disturbances or increased heart rate appear, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Contact your veterinarian if you believe your pet is experiencing side effects.

Thiabendazole, Dexamethasone, Neomycin (from neomycin sulfate), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Purified Water, Hypophosphorous Acid, about 8.5% Ethyl Alcohol and about 0.5% Benzyl Alcohol.
